Spring Summer 2020 Fashion Week Coverage: Discover the 17 biggest Spring 2020 fashion trends from New York, London, Milan, and Paris fashion week.
1 – Monochrome silhouettes Spring Summer 2020 fashion trends
50 shades of yellow
2 – Double Trouble
An alternative to the monochrome is the double face trend. Mix and match two colors together whenever possible (shoes, pants, sleeves, etc.) as seen on Sally La Pointe, Givenchy, Guy Laroche, Nina Ricci, Salvatore Ferragamo, etc.
3 – Bra Tops Spring 2020 fashion trends
I am not sure if we can call it a top, but bra worn as a top is definitely trending on numerous runways (Givenchy, Tom Ford, Olivier Theyskens, Lanvin, Marine, Serre, etc.).
4 – Hot pants
Micro shorts are back as per Saint Laurent, Chanel, Longchamp, Isabel Marant.
5- Leg gates
Less revealing than the micro shorts: the dress/skirt with a slit will be an effortless chic solution. This trend was spotted on Mugler, Givenchy, Lanvin, Bevza, MiuMiu, etc.
6 – 60s Wallpaper Spring 2020 fashion trends
In contrast to the sleek 90s monochrome silhouettes, fashion designers (Fendi, Gucci, Paco Rabanne, Marni, Louis Vuitton) have reintroduced psychedelic prints for Spring Summer 2020.
7 – Glitterati Summer 2020 fashion trends
Designers (Balmain, Bottega Veneta, Akris, Paco Rabanne, Saint Laurent, etc.) want to spice-up our outfits by wearing glitters on our party and daily outfits.
8 – Crochets
Designers have reworked the crochets to give a modern or futuristic twist. As seen on Dior, Fendi, Zimmermann, Isabel Marant, Marine Serre, etc.
9 – The XXL Bag
Although shorts and tops will be tiny this season, the bag, in comparison, will be extra-large to contrast the silhouette. As seen on Bottega Veneta, Nanushka, Christian Wijnants, Sies Marjan, Salvatore Ferragamo.
10 – Overwear Underwear
Lingerie is worn over the clothes like an ornament or a statement piece. As seen on Bevza, Mugler, Burberry, Dion Lee, etc.
11 – Granny Sunglasses
The granny sunglasses are back with exaggerated frames and straps. As seen on Gucci, Fendi, Stella McCartney, Prada, and Burberry.
12 – Euphoria
Euphoria (HBO latest TV show) seems to have inspired many designers. We will see more stylish hoodie, tie-dye, unicorn & tinker bell inspired looks.
13 – Tiered skirt
The tiered skirt is a very chic alternative to the skirt with a slit or the micro shorts.
14 – Summer checks
Plaids and checks are not only a Fall print. Designers (Dior, MiuMiu, Victoria Beckham, Lanvin, etc.) suggest wearing this print for Spring too.
15 – Fun neck
Forget the necklace, use a contrasting collar or scarf to highlight your bare face.
16 – Marie Antoinette
“Let them eat cake” has been the major inspiration at Thom Browne Spring 2020 fashion show. We also saw this trend on Sandy Liang, Louis Vuitton, Loewe’s fashion show.
17 – Sleeveless
Forget the jacket this Spring Summer. Layer a sleeveless sweater or vest to your blouse/dress instead.

Interesting post! There’s a lot of new and recycled trends for next year. I like the majority of them, but I’m not sure about the bra top or the double trouble. Thanks for sharing.
The bra top is a challenge definitely! Double trouble is so my thing! Thanks for sharing
Ah! I’m hardly ready for fall fashions, lol! 🙂 But some of these are really cute. Love the first pink suit – so unique.
I love fashion week because it’s so cool to see such creative looks and then see how it can play out for the “average” person. These are so cool. I’m loving some of the new trends.
I’m so all about the monochrome looks! Such a chic, yet understated way to make a statement. I’m also a huge fan of glitter.. every time I’ve been to Custo Barcelona’s show, they always have glitter pieces and they made me so excited!
