Last week, I finally wore my dream dress by the French designer Jacquemus. This dress is currently sold out. I dreamed about it for months and Laura, my blogger friend was wearing it on repeat this Summer. So I could not resist to ask her to try it!
Jacquemus: A French Designer with No Parisian Sensibilities
Simon Porte Jacquemus is a French young designer. Over the last ten years, he has amassed a very loyal fan base (look at his Instagram!) and has been featured in the most prestigious editorials (Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Elle, etc.). He has a minimal aesthetic which is also very warm. He describes himself as follow “My name is Simon, I like the blue and white colors, stripes, the sun, fruits, round forms, life, poetry, Marseilles and the 80’s”. On his runways, we can easily recognize the influences of the South of France. And his collections are always very different from his Parisian peers.
Jacquemus: La Bomba
One of his most sought-after collections was La Bomba: “The bombshell”. He created a sensual, strong, chic but delicate silhouette. He usually says that her mother is his first source of inspiration.
I am always looking at the Jacquemus runways as he always launched new trends and he knows how to break codes with sensibility. Jacquemus is on the rise and there is no sign it will stop to grow.
On the pictures, I am wearing the twist front blazer dress, unfortunately, this style is sold out (like its amazing straw hats).
This Jacquemus dress features a plunging neckline, twisted knot front with center front split and a mini length hem.
