City Guide Pasadena
Home to many scientific institutions (Nasa, CalTech), city in Los Angeles County, is totally worth a visit! In this City Guide for Pasadena find the best date and tips to get the most of this city nearby Los Angeles.
When to go and what to do in Pasadena? Definitely, the best date will be the second week-end of the month.
- Rose Bowl: Every second Sunday of the month: the Rose Bowl welcomes the Flea Market and put you back in an episode of Mad Men. You will crave for vintage clothes, furniture and decor. The market is quite huge and the entry costs $8 after 9 a.m. For vintage lovers or time travelers, this is the place to go.
- Huntington Library: Pasadena has another treasure: the Huntington Library with its arts collection and botanical garden. The entry is expensive: $25 per adult but totally worth your investment. You will love to wander around Australian, Japanese, Mexican and Chinese gardens – way cheaper than a flight ticket.
- Old Town: If you plan to stay a full week-end in Pasadena, don’t forget to visit Old Town Pasadena. Although the shops are similar to the ones on 3rd Street Santa Monica: the streets are walkable and surrounded by old beautiful buildings.
- Icing on the cake: get pampered at Parfaire Aesthetics: an exceptional med-spa. Its SilkPeel facial is the best treatment I have ever had. It’s perfect for my sensitive skin, efficient and the team is very professional and so helpful. Opposite to the spa, you can relax and enjoy some delicious pastries at Le Muse Coffee and Wine Bar.

I’m loving all of your photos Julia! Must have been a great experience! That look with the leather jacket made my day.
Hi. Can you tell me who makes the metal and wood benches pictured above please? I really would like to purchase one but with no flea markets running I do not know their name of where to find them.
Hi Leah unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the seller.
